The latest TVIX from DVICO, model M6500A with a new aluminum black face featuring Sigma's latest processor SMP8635 , HDMI output and SATA Hard Disk support. New to this model is the H.264 format playback with double the main memory of its predecessor. Simple to operate TVIX is a user friendly simple alternative to the Home Theater PC, perfect for a network A/V environment.
TVIX-HD supports various audio/video formats such as MP3, WMA, PCM, DTS, WMV9 and WMV-HD, DIVX, XVid, HDV and MKV files recorded by digital camcorders, and standard transport streams that are recorded by today's HD devices, as well as the new H.264 (MPEG4) format. In a home network environment, the TVIX is a versatile media client that can operate from a Network Attached Storage (NAS) as well as USB devices with improved ethernet throughput (50-60Mbs) of its predecessor. The portable M6500A features SATA connection for hard disk installation and USB connection to transfer data between your PC and the player.
The M6500A offers high quality HDMI and Component video as well as S-Video and Composite allowing connection to all types of displays. Networking capability supports video over LAN of low and high bitrate MPEG-2 (DVD and HD) as well as an optional wireless smart add-on (not recommended for High-definition 720p/1080i files). TVIX is flexible enough to be connected to older standard definition TVs, HDTVs and PC monitors alike. The TVIX-HD also features both analog 2-channel and digital (Coax/Toslink) audio connections.

Connectivity

Video files encoded in H.264 translate to better quality video while taking up lower storage space on the hard drive. The TViX M-6500A can store and play video files encoded in H.264 standard at up to 1080p resolution.

HDTV tuner & Wireless LAN
Transform the M-6500A into a set top box & Personal Video Recorder(PVR) with a HD Digital TV tuner option. This enables TV viewing and recording directly from the unit. Wireless LAN allows you to “unwire” the TViX and do without a tether to the PC.
True Type Font
Change your subtitle font into what you want in your favorate color. You can apply any fonts used in Windows to your TViX, adjust the size of fonts and even change the font color. From now on, you are able to enjoy your movies with several kinds of fonts.
Copy and Paste function without a personal computer
You can copy and paste files saved in TViX HDD without a personal computer. Now you don’t need to bring your TViX back to your computer to transfer files into/ out of the TViX.
In the network function, you can enjoy a movie with no TViX HDD
TViX HD can be networked with a PC system using its built-in LAN port. You are able to navigate to a file in a PC on TVIX Boxs network and play the file from its original destination without having to first copy it onto the TVIX Box HD.

TViX’s FTP server function not only just can make the file delete, copy, move by LAN cable, but also you can access it by internet .so wherever you are you can easily access to your folder if you have your own IP address.

ลองแล้วเหมือนกันครับ ภาพสวยกว่า 4100 ไม่รู้เป็นที่ HDMI 1.3 หรือเปล่า สีและมิติภาพดูดีกว่า 4100 พอสมควรเลย เล่นไฟล์หนังได้ลื่นกว่า 4100 หลายเรื่อง รวมทั้งไฟล์หนังบางเรื่องที่เล่นกับ คอมหรือ Media Box บางยี่ห้อ ที่เล่นแล้วเป็นภาพแตก เป็นบล็อคสี่เหลี่ยม ตัวนี้ เล่นเนียนผ่านตลอด
การแสดงซับไทย ยังเหมือน 4100 คือต้องแยกซับ sub,idx ออกมาข้างนอก ตั้งชื่อให้เหมือนไฟล์ mkv ก็ดูได้ตามปรกติครับ คาดว่าในอนาคต คงดูซับที่ emboss มาใน mkv ได้ไม่ต้องแยกให้เสียเวลาครับ
เสียง DTS ต้นฉบับมากับไฟล์ mkv Full Bitrate ไม่มีเสียงขาดหายแต่อย่างใด สลับเสียงไทย อังกฤษ แป๊บเดียว มีย้อนไปนิดนึง แบบไม่ตกรายละเอี่ยดช่วงสลับเสียง
ฟังค์ชั่น GOTO สามารถค้นหาฉากที่ต้องการ ได้ทั้งเดินหน้า และย้อนหลัง เป็นเวลาได้ไวมากๆครับ
มี Resume หาฉากเดิมที่ดูค้างไว้ ได้ทาง bookmark ได้เลย
การทำงานผ่าน network ไม่ได้ลองครับ เพราะไม่ค่อยได้ใช้ และก็ใช้ไม่เป็นซะด้วย
ต่อผ่าน External DVD-Rom มองไม่เห็น เลยทำให้ดูจากแผ่นโดยตรงไม่ได้ ถ้าจะดูหนังคงต้องเอาลง HDD ก่อนครับ แต่ต่อกับ External HDD ทาง USB ได้ตามปรกติ
